We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist 2 for our Fraud Prevention and Labor Standards Division. As a Customer Service Specialist 2, you will be applying specialized knowledge of Prevailing Wage policies, procedures, statutes, and regulations in Chapter RCW 39.12; 39.04, and WAC 296.127 to provide customer service to internal and external customers.

DutiesSome Of What You’ll Do

  • Applies specialized knowledge of Prevailing Wage policies, procedures, and statutes for internal and external customers.
  • Assist customers with accessing and navigating the external Prevailing Wage Intent and Affidavit filing system (sign up/helping with updates). .
  • Assist customers in how to find the correct scopes of work and prevailing wage rates.
  • Assists customers on filing procedures and completion of intents, affidavits, and certified payroll filing.
  • Refers customers to supervisor or other divisions or agencies for assistance as appropriate.
  • Applies specialized knowledge of the Prevailing Wage Intent and Affidavit internal (PWIA) system to process forms.
  • Receives certified payroll requests from interested parties, and appropriately files and processes the request as required.
  • Uses information retrieved to verify the customer provided information for correct scope of work application, and to identify incorrect or fraudulent documentation

QualificationsRequired:

  • An Associate’s degree and two years (2) of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.

OR

  • A Bachelor’s degree.

OR

  • Equivalent experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.
